Pros and Cons of Minecraft

Minecraft: PE vs. the PC version

Minecraft: Pocket Edition means that you don't need a console or a computer to play Minecraft. The mobile app does not include all features of the Java version. Here's how Minecraft PE and the PC edition compare.

What is Minecraft Pocket Edition?

Minecraft: Pocket Edition is a version of the game that is optimized for smartphones and other devices of this nature. The Pocket Edition of Minecraft is available for iOS, Android and Windows Phone.

The mobile title is almost identical to Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition. Both games can be played on any Windows 10-compatible tablet or computer. However, they differ from the original Java Minecraft edition, which is still commonly referred to as the PC edition.

Pros of Minecraft PE

Minecraft: Pocket Edition allows you to quickly access one of the most popular video games anywhere, whether you're on the bus or at home.

Minecraft: PE and other platforms are generally the same in terms of gameplay. Players can play in Survival mode, Creative mode and Multiplayer mode. Pocket Edition has some advantages, including stronger parental controls and invite only multiplayer, which makes it slightly more child-friendly.

Cons of Minecraft PE

Pocket Edition is different from the original version in several ways. Minecraft: PE allows you to purchase in-app items for exclusive skins or resources. Third-party mods can't be integrated or connected to third-party servers. Pocket Edition is the version that gets updated when new Minecraft features become available.

Minecraft: PE users are able to play with Windows 10 and Xbox network users, but cannot interact with Java Minecraft users. These limitations are not likely to be a problem for most gamers, but they can be a deal breaker if you're looking to play with friends.

Minecraft PE vs. PC

Minecraft: Pocket Edition is a great gift idea for someone you care about or for someone you know who needs it. Pocket Edition will be equally as enjoyable if you enjoy Minecraft on PC or any of the other platforms.

Although the gameplay is the same in all versions, there are noticeable differences in performance. Minecraft: PE and Minecraft Windows 10 Edition have smoother graphics than the PC version. Although graphics don't make a game better or worse, this shows that Minecraft: Pocket Edition doesn't just copy the original.
